Course Overview
Olympic Neighbors is offering Healthy Relationships and Sexual Health courses for adults with developmental disabilities. This is a curriculum loosely based on the FLASH curriculum developed by the Public Health – Seattle & King County, Family Planning Program.
The goals of this course are to assist people in developing:
Knowledge about human development and reproduction
Respect and appreciation for themselves, their families and all persons
The ability to neither exploit others nor allow themselves to be exploited
This is a 20 week course that meets for 1.5 hours each week.
How to Enroll
The current session ends late July. Information for the next session will be announced soon.
These courses can be billed through DDA community respite waivers services at a rate of $18.16/hour. People may privately pay or use respite waiver funds to cover the cost of respite services. Limited scholarships are available.
