Olympic Neighbors is offering Healthy Relationships and Sexual Health courses for adults with developmental disabilities. This is a curriculum loosely based on the FLASH curriculum developed by the Public Health – Seattle & King County, Family Planning Program.
The goals of this course are to assist people in developing:

  • Knowledge about human development and reproduction

  • Respect and appreciation for themselves, their families and all persons

  • The ability to neither exploit others nor allow themselves to be exploited

This is a 20 week course that meets for 1.5 hours each week.

The current session ends late July. Information for the next session will be announced soon.

These courses can be billed through DDA community respite waivers services at a rate of $18.16/hour. People may privately pay or use respite waiver funds to cover the cost of respite services. Limited scholarships are available.

Did you know that people with developmental disabilities are 7 times more likely to be a victim of sexual assault than someone without a disability? Help us support one of our community’s most vulnerable populations by providing a scholarship for this course.
