Bob Wheeler is the President of Olympic Neighbors. Bob became aware of Developmental Disability issues when his son, Blaine Wheeler, was born with Down Syndrome in 1988. Bob began two groups during Blaine’s school years, an IEP Focus Group in elementary school that focused on improving relationships among parents and with the school district. He additionally formed a school – parents group as Blaine was moving into transition programs in later high school. Now, as President of Olympic Neighbors, Bob is actively working with the Board to create home and community for developmentally disabled citizens of our East Jefferson community.
