Born and raised in Jefferson County, Leah moved back after graduating from Humboldt State University with a degree in Inclusive Community Recreation. She discovered her passion for working with people with disabilities after volunteering at a weekend camp retreat for adults with developmental disabilities. After that she worked at a summer camp for kids on the Autism Spectrum in Rhinebeck NY, called Ramapo for Children. Throughout school she also worked for Food for People, the Humboldt County food bank where she had the chance to learn about direct service and social work. Leah is now currently working as a housing coordinator for Olympic Community Action Programs. When not working, she loves to play with her dogs, go on road trips, listen to music and spend time with her friends and family.
